Hardback Book Binding with Karen Daye-Hutchinson
Make a beautiful hand stitched book during this I day course. Learn the essentials of this craft with step-by-step instructions on how to make your own journal or artist book. This is a great foundation in traditional bookmaking and how it can be adapted.

A two-day course exploring Artists' Books. Concentrating on hardback covers you will explore traditional bookbinding and a more sculptural exhibition piece.

This weekend course course is perfect for learning a new flexible creative skill, in a relaxed and sociable art studio environment.
You will learn how to create Japanese-style, non-adhesive, soft cover books, using traditional techniques. You will be given step by step guidance by our tutor Josephine McCormick in the making of your books and a handbook to keep for your reference.
Experimenting with high quality printmaking papers, making original and beautiful hand-made books to give away as a present or to display your work in book form.
This course is for the complete beginner or artists wishing to present their work in book format.
