Music and Art - Duke Special in Collaboration with BPW
Duke Special has written numerous songs inspired by visual art such as Under the Dark Cloth, his response to the photography of Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen and Paul Strand, and A Tuneswept Fiddle, his response to paintings by Amedeo Modigliani. For this unique event, Duke will play an intimate concert in the Belfast Print Workshop, performing songs based on visual art and literature.

With free entry all night and work by local visual artists on display and for sale, the inaugural event sees Mount Palomar welcome Twitch, Reger and ByPhil to join him behind the decks.

Linen Scarf Printing with René Mullin
We were thrilled to have you join us for the Linen Scarf Printing session with the talented René Mullin. This event was in collaboration with the Linen Biennale 2023.
Participants explored the art of carving soft lino and using the carved blocks to print patterns onto the Irish Linen fabric. We used special textile black ink and even incorporated pieces of fabric that had been lovingly hand-sewn. The prints were then left to dry, ready to be worn as unique scarves or given as gifts, each carrying a personalised image pattern created by our class participants.
Your presence truly made a difference, and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for being a part of this event with René Mullin. Here at Belfast Print Workshop, we took great pride in contributing to this year's Linen Biennale.
As we wrapped up this session, we wanted to let you know that more exciting events, classes, demos, and engaging talks are on the horizon as part of the Linen Biennale Northern Ireland 2023 celebration. Belfast Print Workshop & Creative Spark Exhibition
Late Night Art Opening Invitation.
This collaborative Exhibition between ourselves and Creative Spark in Dundalk will delight printmakers with works from artists expert in their technique. The Exhibition will continue to 29th July and viewing is welcome throughout the month.
