JAMES ALLEN

James Allen is a former printmaker- in-residence and manager of BPW.

He studied at Belfast College of Art and Brighton College of Art, and taught at Goldsmiths School of Art and Ravensbourne College of Art, both in London, before re-settling in Belfast in the late 1970s. His printwork has appeared on book covers for Penguin Books, Salamander Press and Wake Forest Press. His work features in many public collections, such as the Arts Council of Ireland, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Telfair Museum, Georgia, USA, and the Ulster Museum, and also in numerous private collections worldwide.
